In Texas, when a divorce is finalized, the Decree of Divorce (“Decree”) that includes the division of marital assets and debts becomes part of the public record, which means it is accessible to anyone.
If you want to keep the details of your assets and debts completely off the public record, we can prepare a separate document called an Agreement Incident to Divorce (“Agreement”).
